Today, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Hamza – CEO of Education First Foundation – accompanied by Prof. Dr. Alaa Ashmawy – President of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, and Dr. Asmaa Mostafa – Vice President for Pre-University Education, visited four schools nominated through the Jusoor Initiative in Ismailia Governorate to obtain accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NEQA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education. They visited Al-Salam Preparatory School for Girls, Abu Atwa Preparatory and Primary School, and Al-Hajj Abdullah Abu Ali Integrated Primary School, with the kind presence of Mr. Ashraf El-Araby – Director General of Education in Ismailia, and Mr. Ahmed El-Sherif – Director of South Ismailia Education.
It is noteworthy that obtaining accreditation for distinguished schools that win the Jusoor Schools Competition is a main objective of the Jusoor Initiative, led by Education First Foundation and several civil society organizations. Education First supported ten schools this year to apply for accreditation with the aim of raising the percentage of accredited schools in Ismailia, making it one of the leading governorates in this field nationwide.
Continuing the joint collaboration between civil society organizations in supporting public education and improving education quality, Vodafone Egypt Foundation for Community Development (one of the participating institutions in the Jusoor Initiative) equipped a "Digital Classroom" in each of the nominated schools to enhance the technological infrastructure and digital transformation in these schools.
