Educational Competitions
Schools of Egypt Competition
In 2019, Education First Foundation organized the "Schools of Egypt" competition to select the best official or distinguished language school in each governorate. This was done using the Foundation’s evaluation form, under the supervision of the Ministry of Education, and with a trained team of directors and deputy directors of official language school administrations across the country.
This resulted in a total of 27 winning schools each year nationwide. The Foundation later increased the winners to two schools for first and second place in each governorate, making a total of 54 schools in 2020.
Candidate schools are initially evaluated using a specific assessment form by the school administration director, their deputy, and the working team.
The second stage of evaluation is conducted by the Education First Foundation team to finalize the list of winning schools.
It is noteworthy that the school evaluation criteria cover all administrative and academic aspects, as well as health and safety, resources, and student life in the school.
Teacher of Egypt Competition
In 2020, Education First Foundation organized the "Teacher of Egypt" competition, which aims to foster fair competition among teachers across 1,000 official language schools nationwide.
The competition consists of three stages:
- Stage 1: School-level selection – A committee consisting of the school principal and a stage director selects one teacher according to the standards set by Education First Foundation, under the supervision and approval of the Ministry of Education.
- Stage 2: Director-level selection – A committee formed by the director of official language schools at the governorate level, their deputy, and a quality management representative selects the top three teachers (without ranking) and nominates them for Education First Foundation.
- Stage 3: Final Selection – A committee consisting of Education First Foundation, a representative of the Ministry of Education, a representative from the Faculty of Education at Ain Shams University (local partner), and a representative from the College of Education at Florida Atlantic University (international partner) determines the top three teachers in each governorate, making a total of 81 winners nationwide.
Egyptian Idea Competition
In 2019, Education First Foundation organized an innovative competition called "Egyptian Idea," to select the best idea actually implemented in official and distinguished language schools nationwide.
Schools wishing to participate submit a video explaining the idea already applied in their school and send it to the Foundation’s email.
A final committee from Education First Foundation selects the best idea from the submissions received via email.
In 2019, six official schools across the country won the competition with remarkable implemented ideas.
Effective Leader Competition
In 2022, Education First Foundation organized the first competition at the level of official and distinguished language school principals across all governorates.
The competition continues annually to select the best school principal in each governorate.
