Teacher of Egypt Competition

In 2020, Education First organized the "Misr Teacher" competition, one of the initiatives aimed at fostering fair competition among teachers across 1,000 public language schools throughout Egypt.

The competition takes place in three stages:

  • School Level: A committee composed of the school principal and a stage director selects one teacher according to the criteria and regulations set by Education First, under the supervision and approval of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education.
  • Directorate Level: A committee formed by the director of public language schools at the directorate level, their deputy, and the quality management representative selects the top three teachers in the governorate (without ranking) and nominates them to Education First.
  • Final Stage: A committee composed of Education First, a representative from the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, a representative from the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University (local partner), and the Faculty of Education, Florida Atlantic University (international partner), determines the top three teachers in each governorate. The total number of winners across Egypt is 81 teachers.
